- The basic rental includes Collision Damage Waiver (The renter above 24 years of age shall pay an excess of 1500/- AED and for Young drivers, less than 24 years or license less than one year shall pay 2500/- AED), 24/7 Road side assistance, Theft insurance, Free Modification and Value Added Tax (VAT).
- Airport parking fee (When booking at the airport, the airport parking fee 50 AED per delivery is mandatory and is not included in the offer, to be paid separately on arrival.)
- The renter will be responsible for any fines, toll fees, and parking charges incurred during the rental period.
- The renter checks the vehicle thoroughly before it is received and acknowledges that it is in good, clean and usable condition.
- The Renter also understands and acknowledges that the vehicle is to be returned to SHAYAR Rent A Car (SHAYAR) office or representative in the same condition (including all accessories, baby seat, GPS, Wi-Fi devices etc.) at the end of the rental Young period. Missing or damaged items shall be charged.
- Renter shall pay a security deposit of AED 1500/- to AED 5000/- at the time of signing this agreement. This deposit shall be released after twenty-one (21) working days from the date of return of the vehicles; further to deductions, if applicable. The Renter agrees to pay for any transfer charges.
- Drivers must be at least 23 years old to rent a vehicle and the license must be issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year before your rental begins.

- SHAYAR reserves the right to recall a vehicle and cancel the contract at any time and the Renter shall cooperate.
- SHAYAR shall not be responsible or accountable for any personal belongings left in the vehicle.
- SHAYAR vehicles may only be driven within the geographical boundaries of the United Arab Emirates.
- Vehicle has to be returned with the same fuel level as when it was hired. Fuel charges may apply if the fuel is lower.
- Renter shall ensure that the vehicle as a whole including its mechanisms, parts etc. are not damaged or tampered with during the rental period. Missing or damaged items shall be charged.
- Renter should return the vehicle completely clean. All SHAYAR vehicles are Non-Smoking; eating, drinking and pets are not allowed in the vehicle. Valet charges of AED 600/- apply if returned dirty or with sand, stains, animal fur or garbage or odour.
- Daily rental charges are calculated on 24-hour basis, from time of pick-up as mentioned on this agreement, with a grace period of two (2) hours. Additional one (1) day rental charges apply to vehicles returned after the grace period.
- Monthly rentals are calculated on a thirty (30) days rental period. Advance payment is mandatory. Early vehicle return will automatically cancel the monthly rate plan and daily rate plan shall apply.
- Renter shall pay all fines incurred during the rental period within 24 hours of issue of fines along with administration fee of AED 70/- per fine.
- SHAYAR rental invoices may be provided upon request by the Renter.
- AED 6/- per crossing will be charged for tolls ( salik / Darb).
- Value Added Tax (VAT) of 5% will be applicable on SHAYAR rental charges.
- The vehicle is due for servicing at every 10,000km or 6 months or when vehicle notifies on the dashboard. The Renter is responsible and agrees to notify SHAYAR immediately as per the sticker on the windscreen or the notification on the dashboard.
- Renter will be responsible if vehicles are not serviced at the allocated times and have experienced damage. The Renter agrees to pay the repairing cost and the daily rental charges to cover the potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed.
- In case of vehicle breakdown, SHAYAR shall provide a replacement vehicle as soon as possible.
- For any minor or major accident, police report is mandatory even if the Renter has purchased full insurance (Super Collision Damage Waiver – SCDW). To obtain Police report dial 999. In case the renter fails to submit the Police report, the Renter agrees to pay the repairing cost and the daily rental charges to cover the potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed.
- In case of a minor accident like scratch (greater than 2cm long), dent (greater than the size of 25 Fils coin), paint damage, broken accessories etc., Police Report is mandatory. If the Renter has purchased full insurance (Super Collision Damage Waiver – SCDW) and submitted the Police Report the Renter shall not pay for the damages caused.
- If the Renter has not purchased a (Super Collision Damage Waiver – SCDW) and the vehicle is in total loss, the Renter is liable to pay an additional charge of 20% of the vehicle value as per the insurance company.
- Windshield, Tires, Wheels, Wheel cap and Tools damages are not included in the (Super Collision Damage Waiver – SCDW) insurance. The Renter shall pay the full repair cost of these in case of any damages.
- The Renter shall report SHAYAR, any mechanical failure or damage with no delays. The Renter shall be responsible for any damage caused due to late reporting.
- The Renter will liable for full cost of repairing the vehicle was damaged due to being operated with a flat tire. Service or breakdown related issues has to be reported immediately by calling the number mentioned on this agreement
- Off road driving and rash driving is not allowed for SHAYAR vehicles. Failure to abide shall void the insurance coverages and the Renter shall be fully liable to pay for any damages, repairing cost and the daily rental charges to cover the potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed.
- Renter shall not allow any Third Party to repair the rented vehicle without written consent from SHAYAR Rent A Car.
- The Renter is responsible to replace the punctured tire with the spare tire. The damaged tire will be inspected by SHAYAR inspection specialist. The Renter shall pay for the damaged tire in case of misuse.
- The Renter will be responsible for loss of any keys. The charge for a lost key will be AED 1000 to AED 3000, depending on the vehicle category.
- The Renter understands and ensures that only drivers that have entered their name on this contract are allowed to drive the vehicle. In case of an accident the Renter will be accountable to pay full repair cost and the daily rental charges to cover the potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed. In case of total loss, the Renter will be accountable to pay 20% of the vehicle value as per the insurance company. The Renter shall pay full vehicle value as per the insurance company if Police report is not submitted.
- Any accident or damage to the vehicle rented that occurs due to the driver being under the influence of alcohol or any narcotic drug, the Renter will be accountable to pay full repair cost and the daily rental charges to cover the potential revenue loss while the vehicle is out of service being fixed. In case of total loss, the Renter shall pay full vehicle value as per the insurance company.
- Any vehicle rented from SHAYAR is only insured for driving on paved roads within the UAE.
- In case the vehicle gets impounded by authorities because of any violation during the rental period, The Renter will be liable to pay SHAYAR Rent A Car the impounding charges plus the daily rental charges to cover the potential revenue loss while the vehicle is under the legal custody.
- The Renter authorizes SHAYAR Rent A Car and its representative to seize the vehicle, due to non-payment of rent, fines and tolls, or not returned on time, or left abandoned, or locked in secured parking etc.
- Our working hours are 08:00am to 11:00pm. The Renter shall be charged an out-of-hours fee of AED 300/- per delivery or collection, if the pick up or drop off time of the rental is outside the rental counter’s normal working hours.
- One-way Fee of AED 50 shall be applicable in case of drop-off location is different from that of the pick-up location.
- If the renter modifies the booking in less than 24 hours from pick up time Modification charges of AED 150 applies.
